What a bureaucratic puzzle for us young people who leave abroad ! It is necessary to think of everything: insurances, the identity papers, packages to cancel and those to which we have to subscribe, … All these things that our dear parents reminded or did for us. But who says independence says you need to pass by the box administration too!
You don’t have to forget anything, because on 1 year far from your home it is an upheaval! You don’t have to begin too late, some steps can sometimes be long and it is not easy to understand everything we undertake because we quickly get lost in all these terms which don’t seem really familiar to us. It is also necessary to find the best options; for example for cell phone, is it better to take an international package with a French operator but which can be expensive or take a package in the country which is going to welcome us but with the risk of spending a few days or even weeks before the line is operational. One more dilemma, but very fortunately, we can always count on our parents to guide us on the path of autonomy. They give us keys and now it’s up to us to use them, we have to call various organizations, explain our situation and well think of putting to them a maximum of questions to reassure us and make that our departure goes well as possible.
In any case, there is always a solution and always somebody more informed to guide us and facilitate the organization of our expedition in the best conditions.
